Hi David. Some of the Guys and Gals from the Rocky Mountain Sharks are going to Caravan over from the Denver area on Thursday morning. I don't know the details, but when they are firmed up I'll try to publish them. You may want to join up with that group for the final leg over the Mountains on I70.

For those who are interested and who will be arriving here in GJT around midday Thursday the 4th, I have just finished the arrangements for a Wine Country Tour of four of the major Wineries in and around Palisade, the Wine Center of the Western Slope. We will be leaving the Clarion Inn about 1 or 1:30 and spend the afternoon learning about, tasting and maybe buying some of the best wine in the Country. You will need to be settled in the Hotel and fed any lunch you might desire by about the departure time so we can do this as a Cruise together, although it is only a few miles from the Hotel to the start of the Wine Tour.

Let me know if you have any questions about this segment of our Function.

I am also working on some final plans for any Fireworks display that we might get to enjoy Thursday evening, but with the dry weather we have been having, and looks likely to continue, I predict that all Fireworks are going to be cancelled, as they were last year. I'll try to stay on top of that, and let you know.

I will be in Colorado on family vacation so I hope to see some sharks over the coming days. Unfortunatly we need to be home by the 3rd so I can not make the event this time.

If there is any chance that you will be in or around Grand Junction on the second, let me know so we can try to get together for some 928 talk and such. Or maybe lunch and/or drinks and maybe even dinner dinner. Call me at 970 243 8513. I'll be out of the office and out of town just about all day monday to Court in Craig, CO. Thanks Jerry that might work. We just checked into our hotel in Frisco/Dillion area. Not sure if we will be making it that far west. Mostly we will be hiking and sight seeing and do not have a set plan. if we get close to Grand Junction I will let you know.

I worked up a graphic for the Function T-shirts that the participants can buy when they get here.

I also changed the graphic a little and had some made for the participants in the Independence ONE Car Show for Saturday. They too will be available for sale to the Participants and to the Public also depending on availability.

Hi Guys. Great to hear you are on the road, and/or otherwise coming.

The Rocky Mountain Sharks are meeting at the Conoco Station near the Morrison off C-470 on the West side of Denver. That is just a few miles south of the intersection with I-70 which will be the route over, I think. The Meeting/departure time is 8:00am. Don't be late. It takes just under 3.5 hours from there to GJT without any stops, but I'm sure they will make one stop for a break, probably at the Wendy's or Burger King right at the exit in Eagle, but that is just a guess on my part.

I almost wish I had the time to come over there and come back with all of you because a Caravan is a lot of fun.

There is not a conscensus yet about the location but it now appears that the vast majority of contributors to the discussion favor the parking lot at the Morrison Exit off of I 70 rather than the Conoco at the Morrison Exit off of C-470. (You can get to Morrison either way, by the way.)

I will keep tuned in to the discussion and let you know where it finally ends up. I think the only difference is that there are probably not any services at the I-70 location versus the Conoco lot.

I got the Graphics for the T-shirts to do double duty by changing just the white screen. Here is the version that I did up for the car show participants and maybe the Public if there is enough to go around. The reason the car looks like it has white over the red is just the reflection of the flash. The car, in both graphics, is quite red.

We're meeting at the Morrison Exit off C-470. It's only about 3.5 miles south of I-70 and it allows everyone to fill up with gas, get some snacks and take a bathroom break before we head out. Meeting time is 8:00 and we'll try and be on the road by 8:15ish. Always a little hard to get everyone moving since they tend to stand there and ogle each others cars... Let us know if you're going to meet us so we can wait for you if need be.
