Default dealer gave me the wrong rad temp sensor

Despite having pet the stupid guy at the parts desk gave me the vdo radiator sensor with 3 pin plug, maybe for older 928s....and he wont change it with the right one.i gave him the dead sensor from my car as sample. He also lost it.
Does someone knows the vdo part number of that sensor?i want to try to search from my usual spare parts shop, faster than purchasing it online, if ot's available from vdo....otherwise i will have to buy it from a specialist ...

Use one of the 928 vendors on this board and never worry about getting the right part again.

Yes i am italian. The second nearest porsche service has this part available , good discount because chances to see another 928 gts owner with the same problem are actually low. ...
Thanks guys, anyway. ...

You may find that you can buy the parts MUCH less expensive from the 928 vendors in the USA and shipping need not be that costly for smaller parts.

He may, I say, may, not be stupid, but not exchanging it would not encourage me to never deal there again, and he had the original to compare it with, AND he lost it. Also not sure what you mean by "good discount" but getting the right part the first time from a seller who knows and cares about your car would make the Intern'l Fed Express worth it. God forbid you try to ask for advise from this dealer. Our vendors are sometimes hard to get on the phone, but they will help and they know a lot about this car.

We have a number of cutomers in Italy.
Shipping is cheap and takes two days.

We sell a lot of Corvette parts to Italy as well "CorvettesRus"
