warning lights 87s4, new to car
87s4.
new to car, never driven as doing refresh. but meanwhile have some questions on instrument panel.
(1) big "!" red light means ?
(2) when i press brakes, i get a "tailight" lit, does this my tailights are on or there is a fault in the tailight?
(3) brake pad light on, i know that on front right i have a dangling brake pad sensor, it broke off, if there a way to splice to make light do away?

1) and 3) are because of the same problem
2) is normal
The brake pad sensor is just a wire that eventually wears and breaks the circuit. If it's split you could just splice it together for now! It's only a $10 part, I think you might even be able to replace it without taking the brakes apart. There might be enough space through the top of the caliper, can't remember exactly!

Sorry but how is # 2 normal?
I'm thinking you mean it's normal to have brake light warning lit when started and go out once the brake is depressed, that's normal.
If the warning comes on when he presses the pedal than a bulb is bad or incorrect wattages.
