Polecat, Nevada registration fees are based on the vehicles MSRP when new, then depreciated from that year by year. The legislature amended the deprecation rate so registration fees don't decline as quickly resulting in higher registration rates for a longer period of time for you and me.

Most of us can, especially if we have an umbrella plan.

That being said my guess is the 928 intristic value is about 15k after basic upgrades and our normal catchup maintenance.

Our interior can be xfered to the next 928, and most things can be transfered to the non-damaged car save for the parts which were damaged.

Aftermarket upgrades/performance upgrades is usally not counted (you never can get those back)

Glenn, it's the $157.00 Gov serv tax that I'm bitching about. My plates have gone up on the Porsche, while the rest of our cars have gone down.

Virginia antique tags for cars 25 yrs or older is $50,
one time, no renewal, no emissions, no inspections....
just a few restrictions on when and how often it gets driven......

My Antique plates on the 911 are $50, good for 5 years and no inspection!
Our daily drivers tags are $51/year - 87 Porsche 928 & 06 Audi A6
My 87 inspection is $14.95 and hers is $29.95!
