Default Registration renewal

My renewal for the 928 came today. Renewal for Dee's Tahoe is due the 17th.

Here's the pisser! The Tahoe's total fees are $198.00, and it's a 2006, no smog test required.

The Porsche's total fees are $259.00, smog test required, and it's an 89, due 6/4/2013

These ******** are charging more cause it's a Porsche. WTF!!!!!!!

In Maine the registration fee is set up like a mil rate based on the price of the car that they have listed. My 928 is about 260.00 based on a price of 68k. My wife's two year old loaded Enclave is about 140.00 based on a price of 40k.

$50 bi-yearly registration regardless of make. $29 non-emission yearly inspections, mostly just a safety check for pre-obd2 vehicles. MA

I lived in SoCal for years. The same policies on my three vehicles is a fraction of what I paid in SoCal.

Yea and they dont cover much on the car intristic value.

It would be awesome if the insurance company to agree with the state of maine.

Everybody dumps on New Jersey, BUT--Historic plates are $44 AND RENEWS FOR FREE and NO INSPECTION!!! With 'vanity' plates it's still just $66!!!

Why don't you have collector / hobbyist plates? $200 for the first, $150 per car after that.
One time fee, never pay registration again.
