Default May have just parked the S4 for a looooong time...

Changing injectors, an injector clip flew off and found its way down the injector hole.

Are the valves closed? Dunno..

Will find out after lunch.

*sigh*

Magnets are handy tools. If you've got a boroscope finding it should be easy.

Pulling the intake will tell you real fast. I wouldn't call it a long time. If you have done it before, you can probably have the intake off in 3 hours at the most.

Finding a magnet small enough is always the tricky part. I wish someone made an assortment of magnets that were very thin in diameter, like all the way down to 1/8 in. The injector clip weighs nothing so you don'nt need a real strong magnet.

If you've got a powerful shop vac, you might be able to vacuum it back out.

go find one of your small screwdrivers with the small magnet on the end,
stick the handle in a vice remove the magnet
get a small diameter piece of clear tubing shove the magnet into the tube,
stick the other end of the tube onto a coat hanger with the end doubled over,
feed it through the plug hole and get your metal and move on!
This will test your mettle.

Beware with magnets, if it gets stuck on something metal your going to have a hard time pulling it back out. So you want to glue it and double glue and tape it to prevent that (rare earth magnets are extra hard to pull off)

Magnet of a stick are very handy as others have mentioned... and don't grab aluminum.

Panty hose over the end of a shop vac (possibly ductape a smaller tube if needed) is another handy trick.

Jeff - I found a tool similar to the one below at one of the common auto parts stores after I dropped a tiny feeler gauge into the crankcase of a Honda V65 while checking valve lash. Mine is the commercial version of Mr Merlin's suggested tool with a soft flexible aluminum shaft. It is a tool that I appreciate very much......

Best magnets come out of old hard drives, but I have a wide variety of dropped thing picker uppers.
