On a hot day, stuck in traffic going into NYC on the George Washington Bridge, I had a bit of a temp problem. I was on the side of the road. Traffic looked about two hours or so to go.

At the time, I had two 12" pullers fastened directly to the radiator. And one 14" in replacement of the pusher Aux fan.

A/C off (obviously).

The 2 fans just wouldn't keep it cool.

So, I had a bit of a brainstorm, and used my fuel pump jumper to hot wire the 14" pusher.

With all 3 fans working, she ran just at the hot end of the operating range, and I got home!

AUX fan should be running from the radiator switch with the temp at top of scale. Sounds a bit like the radiator wasn't 100%, maybe some tubes clogged.

Radiator intake hose has no cooling between it and the engine's thermostat, so you have one of two conditions; efan runs continuously after thermostat starts to open, or efan only runs when engine is overheating and thermostat is always open and not controlling temperature.

Less than 50% coolant is also less than 50% corrosion inhibitors, lubricants, etc.

Running cool as a cucumber, very pleased with the fan set up. working as it should. Added Redline Wetter and cleaned up wiring + fused link.
Looked at diluted coolant, still plenty slippery after 2 gallons of water dilution..
Final post unless i have news, Thanks Guys.

BTW, fan is working excellent 928 Enthusiasts.

It IS an 'upgrade' as it is almost July now and I have been doing all traffic for some time here in the burbs.

This is the setup; pulling and using the shroud.

I think an interior 'fan on' indicator light in the cabin would be nice,

Splice in a small lead for the fan light after the fused link and ground it inside the cabin.
It would be simple, power runs through thermo switch first.
