Temp blending is accomplished (in part) by the 2 temp sensors. One is located on the center consul, and the other is located on front fender splash shield. Due to weathering the outside sensor can get dirty/corroded. Try cleaning the connectors to this.

Access can be done 2 ways. First by removing tire, then front splash shield. The other way is by removing driving light cover (raise lights and remove) and you should see the tube on the inner splash shield. The tube runs to the alternator and is used for cooling, but also pulls outside air over the sensor for comparison with inside sensor for temperature regulation. The outside sensor is in the metal ring between the 2 pieces of hose and has 2 wires going to it and can be unplugged. Hope this helps.
