...we discovered that if you flip it up, it makes a pretty darn good Hero camera platform.

Oooooo I'll be wanting one of these just for this! But... Not good for daily driving I wouldn't think... Just takes that one person to mess up and your camera gets smashed.

If there is anything left of your camera! Could always stream it wirelessly to a computer/tablet in the car.

Imo000 you would be surprised. You get cut off and don't have any time to stop. That's how I got into the accident with my 1981 928. Destroyed a headlight and a fender. But it was still drive-able and I fixed it along with some other things. Still driving it with a clean title. BTW I live about an hour North of Los Angeles so the drivers here cannot drive. Every day I drive it is like a gamble. A camera would have made the police report go so much faster....
