New Product:Tow Hook License Plate Bracket
This is an accessory to our popular folding tow hook for racers and DE day drivers.

Tow Hook License Plate Mount
Background: Many of us don't like the thought of messing up the clean, flowing lines of the Porsche® 928 with an ugly license plate smack-dab in the middle of the nose. Here is the answer: a license plate bracket mounted to your 928 Motorsports Tow-Hook post.
Convenient: If you take your 928 to the occasional auto-cross or DE day, now you can switch back-and-forth from License Plate to Tow Hook and back again right at the track in seconds. Fits over our Folding Tow Hook without modification and re-uses the through-bolt you already have.
Quality: Made from 6061 aluminum billet for toughness and light weight. The license plate frame is stamped steel and powder-coated for lasting good looks. The license plate screws are stainless steel. Adjustable, to fit all license plate types.
If you already own our folding tow hook, then you can just buy this separately as an accessory. If you don't, they can be purchased together on this page:

That's a great idea for those States where front plates are mandatory, and the mandate is enforced.
This would be a quick and legal method to mount it for inspection, while avoiding the risk of punctuating the bumper cover in case someone bumps into it.

FINALLY! They have been doing these for Boxsters and 996+ P-cars for YEARS! Glad we finally have one of our own! I need to order at least one of these for the times I have to put a plate on and take a pic b/c I got a ticket for not having it! LOL! Oh, no, that has NEVER happened!

neat idea! i like it. in ohio you need two plates. like hell if i will drill in to my bumper. right now it is sitting on the floor on the pass side. i can throw it in the window to "display it" when needed.... but this solution is much more legal i think.

I'd like to take some credit for inspiring this I asked Carl about a mod to his tow hook - that was reported elsewhere - when it came time to decide what to do with my front bumper during my repaint.
The mod was a decent solution. I decide to "restore" the bumper and repair the mounting holes. I also decided to wait until I get ticketed for no plate before I buy a tow hook plate mount. Maybe I'll make it a few years this time.
This is purpose built solution looks brilliant, Carl. Thanks!

Remember: if your front bumper cover is already drilled, or you'd like to move your plate mount, you can plug/hide the holes with these:
