Default 1980 Euro ignition switch turns 360 degrees???

Hey guys...my 80 euro ignition switch always worked good until today when it turned without starting...almost like the whole cylinder is loose and doesn't catch. The key turns without catching anything. No start Anybody know how to fix this?

Possibly the electric switch portion held in place behind the lock cylinder has come loose and pulled back. It is what limits the movement and has the return spring to push the key off the start position when you let go of it. If you push the steering wheel /pod all the way up you can see it from below. Otherwise you need to remove the pod and inspect all the parts.
