I wouldn't say $5500 is a good price for that car even if it runs. The repaint looks like crap - painted right over the bumper beads, and probably won't last a summer of washes - if a car has a cheap paint job, then it is hard to believe anything else was done right; Also, the coffee can muffler makes me wonder what is going on there. No engine or interior pics usually mean nothing good to look at in those critical places.
Beware when a Seller describes a car as "mint" when by looking at the pictures you can see it clearly isn't close to mint.

Actually , I looked at this car 3 months ago before I got mine and it's really not that bad. Interior has some worn spots and aside from a ugly color quick but good paint job it's nice. Runs like a champ, shifts great and I'm sure he will let it go for much less. Shame is the paint is nice but they could have removed more trim instead of the quick mask job. That muffler is something new as it had that Ansa on it before

This one is a nice car, surprised it hasn't got it's own thread, I don't check ebay but hit an old link today and saw this. Sweet looking low mile 85 with nice paint.

Along with painting the piping they also painted the buffers, talk about a lousy & unfamiliar to 928s painter..must have been a Maaco job.

But it's in MINT condition... I've seen quite a few MINT 928s and they were all at Frenzy... Haven't made to SITM yet. My definition of "mint" excludes my own car and its in fantastic shape... and yes, the quicky paint job doesn't help - makes it look like they are hiding something, damage, etc

There actually was a thread on that car.

I agree that it looks like a very nice 928. The gold one that is the original topic of this thread, however, appears to have seen much better days.

thanks for connecting the dots, that has to be the best preserved guards red I have seen and the front end shot is my new favorite 928 car pic. I don't get the hot potato treatment though.

Joel - hoping you make it over for the PVGP, and down to SITM - caravan!

Sorry for the hijack
