Thumbs up New clutch?

Looks as if my 82 is in need of a new clutch. The clutch is original to the car (85K miles) and the plates are looking pretty worn. However, the tranny shifts pretty smoothly 90% of time, just a little glitchy in 2nd if I don't push hard on the pedal which shifting. Anyway, what is a good source for clutch parts at "reasonable" rates. By the way, I'm new to the forum, but not new to the 928. My first was bought in Germany and graymarketed in 1985. Anyway, thanks for all the useful and timely feedback!

I had my clutch relined very near to me at Euro drive clutches

Very reasonable and can do Kevlar linings as well...less than half the price of a new clutch.

Did you have problems at all with the relined clutch plates? I have heard some bad stories of the poor longevity of these remans. Hopefully they aren't true.

Just put it in 60km ago, so I cannot say. But they did it while I was there. The rivets look like the factory, so unless they use inferior metal in the rivets (I don't think so) it will be fine. They have been in business a LONG time and ONLY do clutches, so I have some faith.

The Kevlar really grabs well so far. I will report back if there are any issues.
