Ok.
Well it's not crap and he doesn't have to buy a new one. In fact he probably doesn't have to do anything to the existing one. If he really wants too, 50$ worth of seals and rebuild it. But that is only rarely necessary.

I'm actually putting a list together and I'm going to email roger so I can buy parts bit bit.
Yes he does. I'm just saying it is unnecessary.

That is where we are going to differ on an entirely different level. If you are in there and you are not changing the tensioner gasket/seal/cap/o-ring/bushings/idler roller/tension roller and shoulder bolt in his case, you are half assing the job. It's that sort of maintenance that results in our cars being known trash heaps. Do it right or don't do it at all.

I can not count how many I've had come in that the previous owner did exactly what you are suggesting and the results are not pretty from a financial stand point. Wonder why we have so many broken camshafts? That's it right there.

Get us started on oil or how many miles between changes and then things get fun.

Actually I do have one last question, do you guys know why hot air comes from where your feet are, itt tends to get really hot when driving inside?

Good chance that the HVAC is not working correctly. There are 4/5 vacuum actuators that are a common failure item and they control how the air flows and if it is hot or cold. Since it's getting a bit warm here in Texas, I recommend that you tie off the heater control valve. Now since Rennlists searching sucks it might be hard to find that. So here is a nice picture of it.

Pop the yellow arm off the black arm and then move the yellow one to the closed position, which will be the opposite of what you see here. You have to remove your air filter and lower air box to access it. Passenger side rear of engine.

If it still is hot as hell at feet after above, then it gets interesting.

I changed the timing belt 3 years ago along with water pump and thermostat, stock tensioner is fine.
If the brake light just came on, you still have enough pads for a long time, no worries.
Yes, parts from Roger is the way to go, he's like a consultant and sell you what you only need once you tell him what you are going to do to your car, and price is right!

If it's a daily driver and you drive in the city then, about 2 weeks is a good bet. After that, it can be metal om metal at any time. If you are gentle with the brakes, it will last longer. In any case, time to order a set.
