so I got her done. That cup is totally stripped. it will come off again.

If you haven't, you can reverse the rod so the stripped socket is more accessible.

I tried to reverse it but could not "snap" it on. Today, the rod came un done again and at a VERY inconvenient time and place. Had to leave the car in a parking lot til the end of my radio show.
I think i would like to replace this part. Right now. Anyone have one?

I have a used ball socket end. However, I'm not sure it is the size or thread you need. I think the socket sizes are all the same but not sure about the thread. The one I have is 5 x 0.9mm thread. It's yours if you want to try it out. Shoot me a PM and we'll find time to connect tomorrow.
