Alternate route NYC to MIA?
Does anyone know an alternate to the boring drive down I-95?
I see on the map there are alternate routes near the coast starting in Delaware/Maryland.
Does anyone know Route 13 in Delaware? It looks like it goes all the way to Route 17 in Virginia Beach, VA. Is this a 2 lane traffic light/RV nightmare?
Route 17 then goes thru the shore area in NC all the way to I-95 outside Charleston.
Worthwhile or a must to avoid?
Thanks for any input.

Where is MIA?
If you are talking about going to SITM in NC, I usually take I95 down to Front Royal, VA to pick up Skyline drive. Next stop is at Waynesboro, VA which is the start of Blue Ridge Parkway. Both are fun twisty mountain roads.

Have agree with the western route. can do the blue ridge parkway, it will be slow, but beautiful. There is also I-81 that you can jump on. You can find atlanta and then go down I 75. going on 17 will be a lot of stop and go, but will be a cool ocean hugging drive. You can also go the eastern shore of Md. that is noce then do the bay bridge and tunnel. I prefer the mountains.
