I see that the back seats has another style than the front seats, is this an original setup?

I wouldn't think so. One or the other got swapped. Rears are the style that go with the sport seats. Fronts are the standards.

Here are the matching rears, which are the style in all the really early cars I've seen pics of.

The factory would do anything the owner wanted.

M409 Leather sport seats became option in '80 MY. Before that all 928 should have same non sport seat style setup.

M410 Berber & vinyl sport seats became option in '81 MY.

Same back seat design was also used in '80-82 MY ROW 4.5L cars as default setup together with 911 style front seats.

Rear seats are newer than '78 MY and its very likeLy also fronts have been changed. When original seats wear out its fronts which are usually changed while rears are left original.
