Default Paddle shifter updates?

I had read a thread on here a while back that had a few guys discussing a paddle shifter kit for the 928. It may not have actually been a kit per say, but from what I read, people were excited that it could be used for 928.

anyone have any info on this? My euro is stuck in the At config, and I would love to be able to go into and out of corners with a more aggressive gear strategy... so to speak.

yeah I'm sure it probably a 2 or 3 hour job max. There is no flippin way I would attempt something like that. It is above my pay grade so to speak. It does appear however, that they will do custom work for the right price.

Alan, what other options are there when it comes to shifting the auto trans? enlighten me please.

For a stock trans there are none.

awesome. exactly what I didnt want to hear. I know there is the kick down bypass mod or whatever where you can start in 1st instead of 2nd. This is great for drag racing. Who in their right mind takes a 928 drag racing I do not know. Not exactly a good drag race car.

I also saw a shift kit for it...basically some springs to make the shifts firmer. I was hoping to be able to shift the auto trans somewhat like a manual without it leaving parts on the road.

I would be willing to bet money that the 928 in that video is running an ls chevy motor.

What's the tipoff? The shower of sparks and smoke billowing out the bottom as it crosses the line?

yep, that and the fact that a 928 motor is never EVER going to put down a time like that. But yeah, mostly the billow of crappiness coming out the bottom.

There is this stick thing between the seats - you might try wiggling that about a bit... some people swear by it...(or is it at it...)

About as close to shifting a real manual 928 that you can get in an auto.

(though I suppose you could always push on the dead pedal while 'shifting'...)

I don't think any parts will end up on the road just because of this!
