I'm doing the same thing to my 928. I called Rodger, he's got me on the list for the PKT tensioner really happy I talked to him.

My cam sprockets are great, even the belt looks new and some one replaced the water pump. My tensioner is leaking and 1 cam seal. No idea about the oil pump. I just bought the lock block and belt gauge off ebay for 60 bucks.

Things are progressing slowly because I'm always busy with work and family.
From all I've read you just shouldn't get in a hurry anyways.

Thanks for the information

Denny- I highly recommend that you get Mr. Kelly's guide. I used it and it was extremely helpful. I would loan it to you but my copy is nearly ruined from oil slicks.

I bought mine on eBay...I THINK it was from John Kelly directly.

Just looked in my eBay account to find his user name, but the eBay history only goes back to 2013. I must have purchased it earlier than that.

It's definitely worth getting a copy. Super detailed, step by step instructions.

It is good - I used it the first time I did a timing belt job back in 2007 or so on my first S4.

S4 is similar enough to S3 that it was pretty much accurate (except for the removal of the mechanical fan clutch obviously).

If you want to try getting hold of him, his ebay id was ReefArtist, and the email address I corresponded with was: jwkelly at mchsi dot com

edit: a google for his email address turns up a phone number from another forum, albeit 9 years ago: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=952206
