Stainless Steel? We have to discuss this. Usually rings for alusil are Ductile Iron with a chrome face on the top ring if I recall correctly. The oil ring on the 951 sets that we use now are also faced in chrome.
Stainless on alusil? The difference is of course the nickel in them - interesting.

I put them in last year and have driven the car on the street and in four DE events since then. The rings seem to be doing well. I should do a compression test but the oil ejection that always accompanies broken rings has not occurred.
So far, so good.
