Yes, interesting. They insisted that the ring was right for Alusil or Nikasil. I believe they are chrome nitride coated. I'll re-check later.

Sure....

I put them in last year and have driven the car on the street and in four DE events since then. The rings seem to be doing well. I should do a compression test but the oil ejection that always accompanies broken rings has not occurred.

So far, so good.
