You're on! Only let's pick a place that's far away so we can get a little exercise in before we dine.

My comments are for the benefit of buyers, potential new owners of 928's, and reflect the advice I would offer anyone considering a 928. Without knowing the skills of the seller all repairs need to be taken with a grain of salt, and I have a base dislike for any repaints. It is not a car I would be telling a friend they should take a look at, but neither would I be telling them to avoid if they ran across it.

Talking about food though has me trying to remember the great Italian place out in the boonies in the foothills around San Jose area.

Which is why I didn't try selling here on rennlist... we tend to look at one of these beasts and notice what's wrong or missing; we're jaded and cynical because we've seen so many. I don't disagree with the above, I don't like repaints either, nor do I have the time and skills to 'do it right'. It is what it is, a 30 year old gt. But I'll tell ya... the force is strong with this one.

Cheers!

Looks like a good deal to me. Since they are not a really rare or valuable "collector" car, I would do the interior my way. I have a Model A Ford I bought in 1954, in good storage. Over the years I have rebuilt the engine and trans and it is perfect mechanically. At one time I would have restored it to original. -not so anymore. I will paint it what color(s) I please and do the interior my way. A 30 Packard phaeton it is not.

This car is worth every bit of the 5k the seller is asking. Someone buy it so I won't have to get a divorce to get it.
