Complete front engine Porsche nut here.
My first Pcar was a 1977 924 at 17 in 1987. The 928 was always the crown jewel to me.
Have owned numerous 944s and 928's ever since.
First 928 was my '79 in 2001...
My current shark is an '84. Picked it up about 3 years ago and has been my daily driver since.
I'm now 43. 12 years of 928 ownership.
And Alan.... I consider everyone that owns a 928 exceptional. The owners manual covers this briefly.
"Judging by the car you have chosen, you are a motorist of a special breed, and you are probably no novice when it comes to automobiles..."
The 928 is such a special car. And there are none like the folks that own them.

My first was in 1985 at 22. I'm 49 now and my son's first is an 82 and he is 15, recently bought and upgrades are under way in our garage. That should screw up your statistics!

got mine last winter/spring at 39 yrs old. Really liked how these were so different/original when i was young, and finding mine (early VIN, low mileage, 5-speed, no sunroof/rub strips) made me want to take a chance (even though my wife really didn't agree....)
amazing how many really young guys on here have these cars. Until i struck my deal, i never would have thought i would one a Porsche, let alone at under 40yrs old. Now that i do, i still don't really believe it, nor does anyone i know. After working on it so much, i realize now it's "only a car", but sometimes i remind myself to have due diligence every time i do so i can preserve this old bag of bolts.. Sometimes i start to take it for granted until i'm walking towards it in a parking lot, and think "Damn, i own that thing!" kinda makes some of the bloody knuckles more worth it..
