Very Funny Vic
Just arrived in the Great White North. Where the men are men and the sheep are afraid... Yes, I was certainly not expecting to wake up in the Ville to snow flakes. Rained/snowed the entire way and then hit Mi and here comes the son. Jokes on me, not what you would have thought.
First thing I did was check in and found the nearest car wash, cost about 15 bucks to get the salt/brine off my beautiful black car.
Very excited for the morn, my son actually could not be bothered but he has no idea what he will be freezing his butt off on tomorrow.
The associations through clubs such as the OC and Rennlist are half of what owning these sometimes tedious and stubborn cars is all about. We would otherwise have almost no occasion to get to know some fantastic good hearted people.
Thank God for a common thread.
See you in the AM Vic

Hey Robert. I see that the Cowl Cover you have installed looks pretty good. However, I think it is not quite correctly installed. It looks like it is not installed in maybe the center tab in the back, but I think the one on the driver's side for sure. The front verticle surface of the metal cowl trim piece just foreward of the windshield should not be exposed at all, and it is showing. That surface should mate fully against the back verticle surface of the Cowl Cover.
Too, if the two surfaces are not snuggly against each other (with the closed cell foam seal inbetween them) you need to remove the Cowl Seal and the front of the Cowl Cover and then push firmly back on the firewall all along where the Cowl Cover mounts using something like a long board or such so that it forces the Cowl Cover to fit firmly against the metal Cowl Trim.
Otherwise it all looks great. It will be very nice with the SC installed.

Oh, and also it looks like you are completely missing theCowl Seal that is supposed to go along the front edge of the Cowl Cover. The purpose of that is to seal the engine compartment air from out of the Cowl Areas where you HVAC gets it intake air. This is so that the HVAC air is drawn in only from back of the hood and not the engine compartment.

While the boys rest up for tomorrow I am at the shop doing some prep work... she is ready to drop in.

Jerry,
When the car arrived to me, that piece and several other miscellaneous trim pieces were missing. I assume the shop that did the paint work misplaced it, or more likely, forget its location. I offered to replace the parts with extras I had, but then he made me aware of your replacement cowl cover. My fault for not recognizing that he still needed the seal as a separate item. Robert probably had no idea that there was supposed to be a seal when he installed it. That engine bay is definitely more deserving of your nice new cowl cover than one of my cheap looking originals.

Please ask Robert where he would like me to send a new Cowl Seal. I think it is partly my fault that one was not sold with the new Cowl Cover since I try to suggest that with each purchase and apparently neglected to do so here.

Tell Robert that I think it must have been my oversight since it looks like he paid for the Seal, but based on thw weight of the package, as shown on the postal receipt, I don't think I included one. I'll put it in the mail monday.

Austin, are you not there with them?! I figured you would be right up in the middle of this stuff!
Thanks for the pics Victor! Make my injectors BLUE please! I'd LOVE to be ripping it up on ANY motorcycle these days! I miss my Hurricane 600 SOOOO BAD! If I can find the guy that does the "outriggers" I'd get a Hyabusa lowered and then ROCK that bad boy!!! Love one of the first few years of the 'busa's! All tricked out and looking like a million bucks!
