ABS on Big Brake Upgrade for '86
#17
I want to make big brakes on 928 s4 1989.
I have spindles from 928 1978 and from 928 s4.
What spindles it is better to me to use for your adapter plates ( Ed's kit)?
I will be able to use brake a support from 928 s4?
what number of a rotors I have to use for the order in shop?
Cayenne 330 ?

For the S4 spindles, the brackets we are discussing won't work. The GTS brakes will bolt directly to those spindles, not brackets require, but you will need to use "stock" GTS rotors. I think this will fit in 17" rims.
For the 78 spindles you want the brackets.
Ed's brackets are designed around the 330mm rotors.

For rears:
If you use S4 front spindles, you should use S4 rear spindles, and S4 ABS brain, so everything jibes.
If you use older 78 spindles, you have no ABS so in the rears you just need a couple washers to space the S4 caliper and an S4 rotor. You should also consider slightly longer caliper bolts ( 40mm, Grade 8.8)
