Default Driverside Front Cam End Cap - How to remove it?

Short of loosening the front cam shaft cap, what is the easiest way to remove the cam cap?

Any pointers?

I just drilled a small hole in it, screwed a small sheetmetal screw in then yanked it out with some vice-grips.

Ok I can do that. In fact I just did that. I drilled a small hole, screwed in a screw. The screw bottomed out against the cam end and forced the cap out. Done!

the only thing I can add is
dont try to pry on the cam pulley to install or remove the caps ,
this so you dont risk damage to the cam

I didn't change the passenger side cap. it wasn't leaking and I didn't want to pull the cam pulley to get to it.

I changed all the 'hockey puck' type seals on my car. Front ones were not a problem (compared to the rears). A bit tight behind the cam covers but easily doable without removing the cam gears etc.

YMMV

There is a small prying location on the cap...... No drilling is required!
