For only the second time in 6 plus years my 90GT fired up today. I have had a history of issues with the car, but today it cranked, fired and ran for about 3 seconds. Maybe that doesn't sound like much to most of you, but to me this is big, big doings.
I've got fuel pressure, oil pressure, voltage up to 12.7V, clutch has pressure, brakes have pressure and the tach moved as well. If I'm lucky I only need to figure out a few wiring issues, make sure the fuel is changed and I could possibly, maybe, actually, drive it.
About time to - wasting your time on a 968 - I wonder why the 90GT did not divorce you.

Main bearing reversed, injector wiring fixed. But Tony's right, it's never that easy. I"m sure something will come up to set me back soon. So far, all I know of is one wire break somewhere on the right side.
I just put the coolant in it, and no leaks so far. I'll top it off and drain the fuel tomorrow. From there it's new gas, and give it a try.
Make sure you tighten up that power steering line. Glad to hear some good news.
I'm forgetting which one but I'll check them all.
I'll fly up to NW Reg tomorrow and pick up my bits from Roger. I've gotta drop off some painting bits for my 968 at Justin. I can give him a check for you while I'm up there.
Long story short, the engine had a 2/6 rod bearing failure on the track. Pulled the engine and did a rebuild from top to bottom and one of the main bearings was inserted incorrectly. This was noticed by a rennlister about a year after the engine was assembled via pictures here on the list. Before that was noticed we had attempted to start the engine after the rebuild and one of the head oil check valves was not seated/restrained properly. It came out and jammed against the cam shaft and the lifter causing the exhaust cam on the drivers side to break.
Pain in the ***.
So a bit later we got a new cam, installed it and cranked the engine up and it ran. Shut it down and put it on the trailer back to Docs house. It was only later that someone noticed (John C) the main bearing was backwards so the car was kept on the trailer and here we are up to a couple months ago.
Doc got tired of messing with what ever Ferrari/Lamborghini/Bonanza he was playing with for a few years and we got the GT back apart, replaced the main and he's got it running now. I'm glad to hear it.
