I'm moving from Houston to Davis which is close to Sacramento. I've mostly got my 87 828S4 running the way I want it and I'll be using it to commute from Davis to Sacramento. I use Koby Motors in houston, and Jose is great, very knowledgable and reasonable. Anyone like that in Sacramento? vacaville going west on 80 is pretty close to Davis also, so that would work also.
btw:just put in the momo shifter for my automatic. much better feel than the original. seems to drive better, felt that way after I put in my momo steering wheel also.
thanks

I don't know of a 928 mechanic in Sacramento. In Placerville however there is Hangtown Foreign Car auto repair. Small shop, both mechanics ex-porsche dealer mechanics. I have only used them to smog my shark, but have seen other 928s in there being worked on, as well as other porsches and german vehicles. One of them owned a 924S for awhile. I wrench on my own 928 (and son's 944) so I have not explored their expertise any further.

Ah, just remebered, I used to take my Jag to Stewarts on Stockton Blvd. in Sac. Don't know if he specifically handles 928s, but he always has a lot of very high end cars in there. Might be worth checking out, or he might be able to recommend someone.

Jim knows his stuff...... that sounds like a solid shop.....the next closest I know of thats good is quite a haul down in Ceres CA....
However.... www.evilgeniusracing.com built my race 928's and has handled everything inbetween....they are in west sacramento...on your way into town...and the owner lives in davis too...while they are a RACE shop....they do take repair work on occasion...even helped a local 928er pass smog!!! of course having a dyno helps....
