To answer some questions the car had a 1980 ROW engine and the car was originally petrol blue. That is how I bought it. I went to the Porsche factory with the car, went to the parts dept. and bought all the S spoilers down to the last bracket nut & bolt for $600 (front and rear) Great memories with this car. I would buy another in a heart beat if I came across a really nice 80-84 euro S

I went and looked at this car today in Washington state. Interior is bad as is the repaint. The engine starts right up and sounds great.

The car is sold, since the ad is pulled.

The car was listed on Seattle Craigslist today which is why I went to view it. I updated owner about the engine swap and he removed the ad. He was offering a 82 and this 78 both 5 speeds for $4,900.00. He is liquidating all his vehicles which included 2 very nice Ferraris a couple Jags and others which I am not at liberty to disclose. He has a 10 car shop with a very large collection of tools/machinery which will all be sold soon. Buying a yacht and setting sail.

Car would look great in blue. Was the car worth $4900? How was the 82?

The 82 was a cats nest and under a lot of corrosion. He did mention engine turns over.

The 78 had rub strips, I did not think they were available in 78. Radio missing and interior was in boxes. Seats, headliner thrashed but seat structure seems solid. Dash and pod in great shape. I have no clue if it is worth $4900 without original motor.
