Anytime something is described as "racing" in a 928 ad, beware.
Even when 928 race cars go up for sale, the components aren't described as a "racing" this or "racing" that.

Some describe the shift pattern of the early 911 and 928 with first to the left below reverse as "racing" since you would almost never get into 1 gear on track and work the H pattern of 2-3-4-5. Putting the most important gears in the most usable positions. Drag racers however hated that 1-2 shift movement so Porsche yielded to the "needs" of it's USA customers......
