Does Abby still have the Coke car? What are the chances of any shark racers at this anniversary event? Aside from, of course, those who happen to be track touring at the time . G

Thanks for posting the pictures! That was the first event for the stroker motor. One of my most enjoyable race weekends!

Those pictures sure do bring back a lot of memories!

I remember helping Mark Anderson patch up the front of John's silver racer after a 911 banged into him at the start of a practice race the day before. John V. was away talking with the race stewards and showing them his video of what happened. I don't know if the 911 racer was ever found or came forward after the incident.

Hanging out with John V., David L., Mark A. and fielding the Coca Cola racer was truly special and something I will never forget.

Not too mention hanging with the other 928ers who were there and enjoying it all, really a special time.

It now looks promising that I'll be there too for this upcoming event.

Cheers,

More photos the 928 Race contingent at the "Sebring Shark Shiver in '07.

The first two photos show what some of the other Porsche racers saw on the track that day

Photo number three is Constantine helping Mark A. strap into Constantine's "865" car.

Number four is John V. and Mark A. headed to the starting grid.

Five & six are photos of John V.'s stroker race car.

Number seven is John V. getting into the car for his next race session, with Constantine in the background, and John A. getting his black 1994 GTS ready for his next session on the track.

Number eight is John doing a little airbox work on the stroker motor.

And number nine is a photo of another race competitor that day.

There are always a few other Porsches there, but you can see the 928's in the background of the bottom photo.

Yes he does. Although I don't believe he's racing it at the moment. Hopefully he will chime in.

We had about 7 928's show up yesterday for perfect weather at Sebring. On the way down there, I stopped for gas at a Sunoco station where I saw a 944 sitting out in front. I hadn't been at the pump for a minute when about 12 more 944's pull up. There were convoying to Sebring and I jumped in with them. Nice bunch of guys (and girls) and enjoyed the ride down with them. The 928 certainly peaked their interest.

Here's a few pics

David Kelly took some pictures at Sebring on Saturday and has posted as follows:
--------------------------------
Here is a link to photos of the 928's at the "Sebring Shark Shiver." I've
included photos of the 928 that was racing there as well.

Feel free to forward the link to anyone who may be interested in seeing
them, and to post it on Rennlist and/or the 928 OC Forum.

For best viewing, please select "slide show," and view them in full screen
mode (F11) for the greatest detail. You can click you way through them at
your own speed. You can also download any of them by selecting "actions" at
the top. If you have Picasa on your machine they will be downloaded
directly to your computer.

I'll send additional links to photos of the race activity (non-928) after
all remaining photos have been uploaded. As usual, there are many photos.

Hope you enjoy them.

David Kelly

Thanks for adding the link Jere. I can't open it though, does anyone else have a problem too? I would love to see more pictures. Thanks for all the guys that came out. We had 6 cars. O and three girls, Arlene and her two lovely daughters Amy and Lori who also worked as corner volunteers(waiving flags). There were some kind words from the anouncer reminiscing on 928's. Mel and myself are working on the next excuse to get together, maybe we can double the attendence with some Hooter girls or something!
Cheers,
Francois
