I know there is a thread already posted about Blown 87 and his memorial. There are quite a few people here on Rennlist that I feel or consider as close friends. We keep contact only via PM, or an occasional phone call, or the joke email. I talk or have met a a lot of you through here on Rennlist and for a great many of us the friendship has gone outside of Rennlist. I am constantly amazed by the random phone calls that I get from some of you and when Greg would call me, it would floor me because he'd just call for no reason what so ever. His last call to me was to ask how my *** was able to quit smoking after doing so for 24 years. I told him that if I could do it, anyone else could. That was back a few months and we followed up that night with a PM.

This drunken post is just my venting/thoughts, I'd like to see all you ******** at Gregs buddies place this next weekend. That butthole would laugh at us for being there in his honor but I'd like to see some of you there. There are a few of you guys out there that are admitted liberals, show up, let's tip a beer.

Here's to Greg, one of the 'givers' around here. He gave great advice and never posted any (well not too many) nasty personal remarks or crap comments. Even when someone was being kinda dense.

Wish I could join folks for the commemoration.

Ever since I heard of Greg's passing I made plans to come. But it is also my mother's 80's birthday and I am flying her down to Charlotte for her to see some of her brothers and sisters. My wife made arrangements for us to host her birthday party at our house on the 19th. So I am unable to come, so please lift some coor's light for me in honor of Greg.

It really upsets me that I will not be there. Greg was definitely a true friend, and I think of him everyday. I will never forget the time we were on the phone, he was helping me with a problem on the car, only to find later out that his area was being destroyed by tornadoes at the time. Hope you boys give that hillbilly bastard a fitting sendoff. Can't imagine how many Coors you are gonna go through.

Best friend I've ever had....that I never got to meet.

One of the very best people that I've had the pleasure of talking to, on this earth.

I'd love to be there, but I'm so sad that I never got to meet this great guy and share a beer with him, that it just seems wrong to go "meet" him, once he is gone.

There's a lesson here. Take the time to be with people you enjoy and love....you never know if they are going to be here, tomorrow.

I am saddened by Greg's passing. Would someone please post a picture of him? It would humanize this whole internet thing, at least for me.
