Default motor mounts

Has anyone a crossmember from an 84 or later car removed so that they could check a measurement for me please? I attempted to install the later style engine mounts and brackets to my 1980 car. The holes in the crossmember appear to be several inches too close for installation. If someone could measure the distance between the centers of the motor mount holes on the crossmember of an 84 or newer and post it may resolve my problem
Thank you very much.

you need to install a later cross member to fit the new style MMs on your early car

Are they actually stamped differently or are the holes just repositioned for the later mounts?
