Thanks for checking in Ron. Once we got the Master in the work went pretty fast. I pumped the clutch slowly, requiring force in BOTH directions until we hooked up the mighty vac to the slave. Bled less than 4 OZ then had peddle. It was just in time as we both had only 15 minutes to get cleaned up and drive to church that night. 5 days later (Friday) was the first time I had tried to start it and use the clutch at the same time. I don't think that added any pressure but I suspect that one of the two attachments at the master was not connected properly because we were in such a rush.

We adjusted the pedal to ingage almost immediately. I hope I didn't jack up the master itself. That would suck.

After getting the hydrolics functioning properly we determined the clutch was not engaging properly. We pulled the clutch from the parts car first, then the driver. Both cars are 79. Apparantly the driver (black) has been worked on because the starter ring was attached with over sized bolts with nuts on them rather than the bolts threading directly into the ring. I will have the discs resurfaced from the parts car and try to install it next week sometime.

In the Third picture it shows both assemblies on the table. The parts car is on the left and the one not working properly is on the right

My buddy is coming over tomorrow to help me remove the flywheels from both 79. I thought I would try to get back on the interior this weekend. I had a few minute tonight to redo the seat back that was wrinkled so bad. I followed advice and added some dacron material as filler.

Great day in the garage yesterday with mixed results.

The foam that I was using in the base was a 2.5 " memory foam (what I had on hand). I think it was about an inch too thick for the cover because while I can attach the center portion with no problem it make the sides ride up too high and leaves a lot of slack and wrinkles in each side. I pulled the side foam off and wrapped it in dacron in a attempt to smooth it out. I should have used more thickness on the outside portion of the foam and none on the inner side. It was very tedious and in the end I just packed up and moved on to something else.

I hope to have several hours after church today to play with it some more.

BTW: My goal has never been concourse. I just want a comfortable seat that color matches and does not have holes in it.

Careful Brian....you do too good a job, and my seats might show up on your doorstep.

Good work so far!

Passenger seat is almost done. It is put back together and I just need to tidy up a bit on the under side. It really does not look that great but it but it feels fantastic and my A.D.D. kicked in and I got tired of fooling with it.

I installed the dash that Dean Fuller did for me.

Over the last two days I have also finished the rear tool delete.

These are 6" Bose speakers and a battery cutoff switch on the drivers side.

Thank you Dean, Ron and Jim. I appreciate the encouragement.
I had a wildly productive weekend. I came to the realization that regardless of the care and effort that I give the seats, they will end up looking like I recovered them myself. So instead of sweating it for another week I just finished everything up. The seats are not bolted in yet but they are complete. AND very comfortable. The thick memory foam makes them feel like a lounge chair.

I picked up the re-surfaced clutch today from a local shop. He says it works perfectly on the machine that they have. The intermediate plate looks like new after knocking off all of the rust and the twin discs are back to like new surface depth. It may be the EOM before I get to crawl under the car and put it back in but I am very excited to have it back and ready to go.

I have all of the measurements for the rear seat delete and have laid out all of the audio components to make sure I don't need anything else. I am considering not installing the sub that I have and just going with the 2 6"x9" 3 way JBL, and the two 6" Bose in the tool compartment. That will give a much neater finished look and allow me to use only the one amp set up.

I have been much more focused as of late. I promised my wife (whom I love AND adore) that I would not touch the 82 EURO until the 79 was put back together and driveable.

The car looks awesome, nice job, I'm actually doing the same thing for the rear speakers, and thought about mounting a small dome light in it, and a battery disconnect too. Curious how you snuck the car up into the box from the battery neatly.

Looking great!

Thank Matt. Are you are talking about the ground cable for the battery.?.?.?
The battery cutoff switch is located just above where the ground post is located. The flat cable (ground) from the battery goes to the switch instead of the ground post. Then another short cable goes from the switch to the ground post.

The only thing the switch does is remove and engage the ground.

I am considering adding a second battery for my audio components. If the cutoff switch clears out all my presets and clock then it will rarely get used. I run without the spare so I have plenty of room, I just need to do a little research.

I wish I had the skill, and budget to get my interior looking this way! It's very inspiring. I can't wait to see your finished product!
