Default Die Hard Platinum Battery Maintainer 23.99

While I know that this is not an item that most 928 owners would need , this is a good deal with a free store pickup option instead of paying shipping costs...

I actually tried to get an air compressor over Christmas and they did not honor the advertised price. You had to read the fine print because the big print was so misleading.

The deal was only good New Year's Eve. I got in for four (two sons-in and one bro-in-law).

A huge PITA. They were out of stock online, no rainchecks and my local Sears is folding with the Auto Center already gone, which is the only dept in the store that sells it.

So I ended up ordering four from the stock of a Sears store 35mi away, which I hate because it's in the middle of 10miles of stop and go traffic with ill-timed lights and traffic cameras. But it's sort of on the way back from a luncheon today. Sooooo...

When I showed up with my Pick-up emails the Auto Center sent me away to the Pick Up end of the store, where I waited about 45 mins b/c they should have been in the Auto Center (?) and they didn't show in the store Pick Up computer. Finally the Pick Up guys just pulled four of the shelf at the Auto Center, I think.

Nice enough, helpful guys, all rolling their eyes about their employer but that doesn't transform a clusterf@#k into acceptable commercial behavior. Walmart can get this stuff right and their staff probably has fewer benefits. If I owned stock in Sears, I'd sell it. Maybe I should short them.

As I said, A HUGE PITA. At least the products look decent. We'll see.
