Default Looking for a PPI in the Bay area

I would like to purchase a 928 in the Bay area but would like someone to look at it first. The car is in the Concord/ Martinez area. My main issue would be that the paint is original and in good shape and the interior is good. The car has 90K on it so I would also be looking for confirmation that the odometer is working. The pics represent the exterior and interior very well but not so much on the engine bay. The owner says the car runs rough which could mean a lot of different things for a 928. Worst of which would be TBF but the tranny has been redone within the last 25K miles so I would guess that makes that less likely. I am ready to make an offer and get it shipped to me so if anyone is close to the car I would very much appreciate a first hand look. PM me with your phone# if you think you could look at it sometime in the next 2 or 3 days.

Actually TBF could be more likely if the tranny job was done wrong...

A. Bauer in Oakland (a bit far but great guys).

Not sure of anyone closer.

Check the repair shops. Have you PMed any of our RL members in NorCal? Lots of very knowledgeable and nearby ones.

Mike, That did cross my mind about the TBF as well if the tranny was put in wrong so I am glad you mentioned it. I really don't know of any members close to the car so I am hoping someone sees this who is less than 1/2 hour away.

Great Van, I sent a PM to you and let the owner know that someone may come over on Sun. Jeff, thanks for posting the car here, it looks like it might be a worthwhile project if it checks out with the what the owner says so far. He sounds like a pretty good guy who just has no use for the car or ability to fix anything.
