Hi Brian. Welcome.

Yep, blinder m25 is what I have. I think the latest version is the m27. They do work. I've been saved several times. The escort shifter also works from what I gather but is considerably more expensive.

Hi AO. I'm glad to see someone from MI check in. Do you know of anyplace local that sells these? For no particular reason, this is something I'd rather not buy on the internet.

My son has a lead foot, but has not got a ticket since he installed a Valentine for its radar range, laser capabilities and directional arrows. I was driving his car the other day when it went off on me on a country road trees all around. I looked, no cop in sight but slowed down, went around a blind sharp curve and the cop was coming in my direction. He was still a good half mile from me and that Valentine picked him up. It has got to have the best pick up range going.

Cheers,
Larry

Watch for signs in what others are doing. Watch for ambush points. Acquire a rabbit and use it properly.

I'm curious why you have 2 radar detectors though.
It just helps me sift through the information as it becomes available. The GPS ability ignores the falses while the V1 sees everything. But the directional signals and counter on the V1 are also useful.

Mainly that was it. Unless we've come across each other on another forum and you know where my s/n came from.

Oh, and I bought a Bel V8 today. For a jammer, I leaning towards the Blinder.

I don't know of anyone local or otherwise that sells them retail. I am technically a dealer, but you can get just as good of a price off eBay.

I run the blinder HP-905, its a great system. Both the blinder hp-905 and the LI (laser interceptor) are great systems. I do alot of the marketing for Blinder, but the system is great. both will protect you very well. Both systems have pros and cons, if you would like i can expand on those and if i can help in anyway just let me know. install is very important, even if you have the best jammer, if the install is not correct you will get torn up.

Yep, I'm interested. I have a guy who's a wiring tech that i hope to get to do the install for me. I've been leaning towards the Blinder, mainly because of the size. In this price range, an extra $20 doesn't factor in.

BTW, I'm not happy with the radar detectors I've tried so far. Bel V8 and Escort 8500. I passed 2 state cops, most likely running laser, 0 detection with the V8. I passed another state cop who was backing out of a driveway, I picked up Ka about 50 feet from him. I pick up x right in front of a grocery store.

With the Escort, I got laser detection facing directly into the sun, and that was it. I've gotten nothing else, not even x from the same store as above.

Years ago, I had a Uniden Stalker that picked up nearly everything.

the wiring itself is very easy, just tap into a 12v switched power and ground it and its good to go, only tricky part is running the wires from the heads through the firewall but anyone familiar with wiring should not have a problem. for me its a great system and the size cant be beat. as for radar, there are some good options, i run the redline and v1. if you want the best of the best for radar, then the beltronics sti-r+ is the absolute best and its gps features reduce almost all falses. its detection range is unbeatable. also if you install a jammer, you can simply turn off the laser detection of the radar unit. laser detection on a radar really is of no use, if you hear an alert from a radar detector, then its 99% too late.

I've been debating between the redline and V1, leaning towards the redline. I was trying out the V8 and 8500 in my truck to learn something about them. When I passed the 2 state cops running laser, I had my cruise set on 72.

I gave my son a V1 for Christmas, really surprised him. On the way back from up north we watched the guy that passed us on a snow covered road get pulled over by a state trouper, he drover right into the radar signal that we saw coming at us way before we seen the cruiser.
I need to send mine in for an upgrade.
