Led light(2) with flexible arms where bought at Lowe's.

I still need to add tool boxes and cup holders!
Thanks Herman. I was looking at the way you built the chair part and thinking I might be able to buy the jack, then bolt a reclining office chair to it instead of fabricating one like yours. Probably more expensive in parts but less labor?

You could buy the reclining office chair and do away with most of the center post, and get some of the same benefits. Depends on how the middle lift cylinder fits in the center post, and how that's going to work with the post shortened. In my experience, "reclining" office chairs get nowhere near as far reclined as Herman's reclined creeper does. Make sure your chair can be reclined as far as you'd like, and that you can keep it locked in your target reclined position.

The MaxJax offers about 4' of height at the lift pads, so the Ultimate Solution chair would have your head somewhere just below that 4' height. I'm a couple inches short of 6', and use a 12"-tall mechanics creeper seat under the lift with me sitting upright on it. My hat clears the car stuff but I have to watch out for the lift arms. The reclining chair would need to fit readily under the lift arms I suspect, unless you are sure you can have a clear path out under the front or rear of the car.

The truth is I don't have a Max Jax, my lift is a ProPark 9+ so I can adjust it to whatever height works with the chair. I've been looking at chairs on Amazon, I think I'm going to try this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Giantex-Execu...48915011&psc=1

It claims to recline to 120 degrees, which seems like it would work. I'm thinking I'll attach a light bar on the back at about shoulder height. I wish I could find a chair that had fold up armrests but I think I can either not put them on or cut them off. Then I'll need to figure out a tool tray and, of course, a cup holder
