There is no reliable dyno at sears...unless MCE from Thill comes down for a NASA event. He likes us.

You are becoming delusional.......Bill's lap times in his well known vette are very documented....its the exact same car you raced against years ago.....the only significant difference....THE DRIVER......on ideal (new) tires.....under ideal conditions....while my data does not reflect the conditions difference at Thunderhill (wind)....I have turned withing .1 second on months different days.....

Same car.....years later with a different driver who takes advantage of better tires with better driving.....over 10 seconds faster than before....granted with the bypass which is -3 seconds...

bottom line.....I respect the path you made for 928 racers....however, I feel that there is "more on the table" that you left behind......your car performs well, but not within its power-weight standards...Bill's vette is the ultimate example....its 200+lbs heavier and still is multiple seconds per lap faster.....why is this....Bill chose to spend $$$ buy new tires and develop aero properly...this is the difference between your lighter more powerful 928, that is 6 seconds slower...

Ultimate ??? How can you explain the lap times my 243whp 928 puts down.....slicks? really...used slicks I get for free....can that be the answer? I learned dumpster diving tires from YOU.,...Come out on the 29th and we will share time in our cars plus Seans #52....we can swap my data logging between cars....if Sean come we also will have his traqmate......

I gotta admit....Sean drove my car for over two hours on track a few weeks ago....and did multiple hours in my estate...yet nobody other that you has drove yours??????????????? You claim that the stock oiling system works.....my (& Seans) experience is far worse than that....are you willing to let "us" drive your car? I will have a trailer handy just in case it blows up?

Sean: Get your car "done" to pass its annual at the next event..and we'll put someone in it to wring it out...and see.

the car is NOT the same car as it was. the engine has been out and back in and who knows what is changed. it is 15 year newer technology, and in WC trim , besides the engine, it is a very capable racer. Sure bill can drive, but its the car, trust me.
again, some drivers that have had much more experience, professionall propared cars, LS3 powered , 500rwhp and they run a little slower than Billl too. why is that. well, looking at the video, Billls car still seems to exhibit more power than its last dyno. plus, i dont give much credit to dynos that are not 248e's. the reason, is that you cant fool a 248e. it either spins the weighted drums or it doesnt! Its a direct HP measuring device.
again, im excited to see bills car again. you can even get video from Robs car before, and watch the acceleration from turn 14 or 11 at sears, down the straight. its night and day, and i cant figure out why, unless he still have those cams in there.

as far as you blowing motors, do we really have to talk about that again. you had suspect motors to begin with. you ran one out of oil on Kmart oil for much of a day as well. I have a good mind to just come out and run. Ill have to see if i can instruct if its a NCRC day. I do have a FREE day with SCCA that you would have too if you got a licence. a free day. run your car as MUCH as you want!! you should get your friggen licence and run a race! that event will be worth the price of admission!!!!!! get it???? get a SCCA licence for 175 and get a free day at the end of the year?????

back to my "more powerful 928". its not more powerful. im 372rwhp and thats where Bill's is at.
sure im lighter, but tires are big deal, i agree. He also has things on that car that pays huge dividends at thunderhill handling wise. why at a handling track, like sears, is the gap not so much?? 1:45s to my 1:46s, even though his turn 11 to Start finish is a HUGE advantage over what my car shows.

Okay here is a serious bet..................................................................... ................

Bill is my friend as you are.........................while you clearly think you can beat him.....I will arrange a race with NCRC to be neutral sometime in the spring and both of you can show up and the fastest guy wins?

I have raced against Bill in NCRC........he was P1 at a very quick lap time.... You want to challenge him? I will arrange it....... Lets be clear...I am NOT claiming I can beat you.....its just not possible with my power level.... However I will claim this....there is NOT another race 928 in norcal I can't beat......Scott-Petty-Sean-whoever- it doesn't matter......I will beat all of them....the only reason I can't beat you is HP.....

in 6 months I will beat you.....thats all I gotta say.....its time to develop your car....

Sean "shhh"........I am not measuring against Canadians....so you are safe....only Americans.....

However a "race" with all three of us would be awesome....4 with petty....still epic....maybe 5 with little Petty since he "might" be close to his own racer...

Not much point in racing Mr Kibort his car is 3-5 seconds faster unless we all drive the same car in some sort of time trial.

Brian, you are a few years away from beating me in the same car. thats all im going to say. well, maybe one more thing.....put the DOTs back on and Ill beat you in Scots car.

now as far as Bill. ive seen his video, he is a good driver, no question. the car is the question. i dont doubt the times. there is just such a dispartiy now in the old cars power vs the new car, it makes me ciurious. remmbrer, he would spank A'nderson and Sutak now! they are not running quite this fast, worst case, they are about equal. andersons car handles like a monster. he ran as fast as Kip olsen. yet, at 150 less hp, this Vet with the son of god driving, is able to run the same times on less tires? you tell me. again, a lot of good drives can spin a good lap times. I remember many of the WCGT rookies that had the hot cars that eventually were able to match, in short order, the times of the seasoned pros in similar cars. but when it became race day, they were no where to be found. why, RACECRAFT. no where is there a 5 second difference between drivers in equal cars. just doesnt happen if the drivers are "good". maybe, a second or two, if you are lucky and the lesser driver is really lesser.

let me take your car out for a few hot laps and ill match your time in a couple of laps. Ill bring a passenger seat to let you take my car out, hows that?

Yes, good point. they dont charge $5-10k for racing shocks for nothing. they do a lot. expecailly turn 1 to 5 at thunderhill. its all handling.

hey, i like his enthusiasm. racers that want to be good have to have this. now he has to step up someday and get a real racing licence. he still thinks racing in NCRC is racing.

exactly, that makes no sense at all. its like me racing Anderson, but when the rain hits, then it becomes a race.. you just need to have some equal classing.
Hey, the times are already made . sure the track is a bit faster these days then when i was running my 280rwhp 3000lb 928 part euro 5 liter to a 2:04.1 on toyos, but ill just let you run your car with DOT toyos, the same exact ones, mine! and then we can see how you do. its a few mins to slap them on. up for the challenge Brian????

lets mark this quote into the data banks and bring it up in "6months".

I dont think i have the car to beat Bill. no need to set anything up. BUT, i will race him at Sears this year, thats for sure just to evaluate his power. on video, is a clear advantage vs my video. do yourself a favor. do a side by side off turn 11 at sears with my car vs his. that way, cornering speed off 11 is not an issue, as it is so slow. then watch the finish. 3 car length advantage. why?

he has been there a lot. for some reason, the car is not as fast there.... why is that?

I timed Bill's record lap...8.8 seconds from exit berm of 15 to start finish....exactly the same as you? Pure power section......

Once my constantly changing work schedule gets finalized I will set a firm schedule for 2013.....

NASA GTS class is the goal......however the "costs" to run with NASA vs the actual track time is NOT cost effective..... 1 hour per day max.....I don't consider that fun..... But I still plan on getting my NASA license and running most events.....
