OK cool another paint restoration thread,
your gonna have fun with this and the car should look great when your done,
what paint are you going to use?
Get new bumper beading Roger has it.
Also new front and possibly rear bumper shocks, 928 INTL has em used for half price till 12-24,
NOTE your front bumper looks pushed in. and the shocks are one time use

Since your not sure about paint might i suggest to use Glassurit base and Glassurit medium build clear,
It will also be critical what temperature thinner you use as you dont want it flashing off too fast so the clear will flow.
With the silver you could also throw in some blue pearl in the base and clear then it will pop in the fluorescent lights

Stan, I like the idea of the blue pearl. I am assisting a fellow who will be doing the work so I'll pass that along. He has way more knowledge than I on the material end of things.

Patience, grasshopper! There are still neglected tubs on the market for dirt-cheap, and also for more than that sometimes. At some point the tub supply will dwindle and the few that are left will drift up in market value. Still too many early cars still running just good enough, and they are dragging the market.

How are the wheel wells? My rear right-hand side had plenty of rusted brackets that needed replacing. Brackets for fuel line, tank filler neck, fuel accumulator, etc. I had to make them new. These are not available as parts.
