Doors automatically lock when closing a door
Since I repaired my centrale locking system on my Porsche 928 of '84, I have a strange issue :
Each time I close the door (driver or passenger), my doors are automatically locked !!
Very enoying especially with key still in the ignition
Any idea what can cause this problem ?
Is it related with my alarm ?
kr

What alarm do you have? stock or aftermarket?
The stock alarm system does not do this - but some aftermarket systems can be configured to lock when the ignition is on (but not normally just after a door is closed....) It could be a wiring fault due to the wires chafing in the hinged door area - but since it does it from both doors this seems very unlikely.
What did you do to repair the central locking?

Alan,
it is a stock alarm.
Both central locking motors were not connected when I bought the car, fuses were also gone.
I also alined the lock mechanism with the central locking motors and this now works fine and smooth when I lock doors with key.
So you think I should check the stock alarm....?

It may be an adjustment issue of the electric actuators. They can have a mind of their own when they are out of adjustment. The impact from shutting the door could trigger them to think they should be locked.
I had some adjustment issues on my first 928, where the doors would lock under certain conditions. Once the motor was moved a bit, the problem went away.

Hi Gerrit: You'll have to remove your door panels to make these adjustments - not fun.
One other thing you can try is to determine how much your key must turn to trigger the power lock. If it is less on one side, that's the side where I would start trying the adjustment.
