Should I pull my motor???
I have the TT and rear end out of my 89 right now for repair. THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED WITH THE SUPER BEARINGS AND CLAMP!!! Waiting on TC bearing for that as well. I also have the motor crossmember out to replace the motor mounts I have had in my parts box for almost 5 years. I also removed the oil pan to replace a leaky seal. Ordered new one and waiting on that as well. At this point all that is left holding the motor in is radiator hoses, feul lines and electric?? I am thinking about pulling the motor now to finish a good reseal. Maybe even a TB change as its been about 5 years and 35000 miles. How much more work is it to get it out? Is it a bad idea? Is there a write up on pulling a S4 motor??? Just throwing this around in my head right now. BTW...my AC works so leaving the compressor on the car would be best??

Nope. Given the background it doesn't sound like you're financial enough to do strictly unnecessary cosmetic things like recoating cam covers etc. That then really only leaves timing belt and water pump. It is easier and faster to do timing belt and water pump with engine in car than it is to remove engine then do timing belt and water pump then reinstall engine.

Yes...I don't have the $$ to do all the cosmetics. I was thinking just oil leaks. Cam covers ...but after looking... I think I will leave it leaky for now. Thanks for the feedback all.
