wouldn't crank over on a TBF. Also says good compression.

Replace fuel pump relay and drive it away.

Cool

The brakes, low mile motor, interior, 700 in tune-up parts, and you have a nice ride.

We had a local TBF car that cranked over and drove. Not well-but it drove. Saying it has good compression-that's the seller.

Either way-PPI even at $2500.

Could just be the fuel pump...could be a relay or fuse-or could be a whole can of worms.

Yes, could definitely be a can of worms. But, might not be. Seller doesn't come across as "too 928 savvy" in ad.

Good compression doesn’t necessarily rule out thrust bearing failure, does it?

It sounds like "TBF" means Timing Belt Failure to some and Thrust Bearing Failure to others in this thread.

86.5's don't usually experience ThBF.

If it were closer to me it would be on my trailer now. The most likely no start conditions for this car are simple and cheap, but there certainly is some risk.

Does it not strike any of you as odd that this guy "doesnt have the time to diagnose starting issues:, but yet had the time to compression test 8 cylinders in a 928?
