Rear speaker kit progress for the 89+ cars - feedback appreciated.

That is a labor of love.
And except for a core few, the 928s selling now will no longer be heavily or even moderately modified.

Do you think 928s are such a collector car that it would be foolish to upgrade the sound system? Oh, I hope not! Mine's my daily driver. I plan on putting another 50k miles on it over the next 10 years and I don't want to do that without bluetooth!

I can't say for sure. I do think modifying it permanently may hazard a second thought.

This thread is talking about speakers, not making it a convertible.

Am not talking about the guys here.
Also - when you modify the wiring in the center console - how many people have you seen put it back stock the right way? And who knows how to do that, now, outside of this group?
I am one who has drastically modified 928s. But they were not going anywhere near an auction block. But that was 10 years ago.
I do truly believe things are different now. Or at least they will be continuing to be so until these cars are forgotten.

The questions / comment wasn't about how often or if anyone ever does go back to stock....simply pointing out most modifications can be put back to stock....which means long term value is not effected all that much.
