Speaking of hood liners, how durable are the decals? How well do they stand up to a "light" pressure washing to remove splattered oil and such?

Nicole,
Interested in a set of smoked marker assemblies. Any chance the sale can be expanded to include these?

On the front and rear clear light lenses assemblies...

if i order the assemblies....(got my mouse on the checkout button...its itchy!!)
will the 15% be extended to the lighting of the clear lenses also ?

I dont want a colored bulb showing through the clear lens when its not operating.

i assume this is what i will need for the front and back...

Porsche 928 US Rear Side Marker LED Kit Red, including Resistor

Porsche 928 Turn Signal LED Kit Amber, including Flasher Relay, for US models

Anyone have feed back on the turn signal function and lamps check with the LEDS like this?

I am going to go with the Plain Jane ones. The decal liners never quite fit my taste.

Sorry for the delay in answering. I'm out at a client site and can't currently access the store system.

I will honor the 15% discount for both the smoked side markers and the LED kits for the side markers or turn signals.

Please send me a PM with the following information, and I'll create an invoice for you, which you can pay tonight or tomorrow:

- Your full mailing address, email, phone
- Which items you want to order
- Whether you want to pay with PayPal (easier), or Credit Card (You will then get a separate Google Checkout Invoice).

Thanks!

PS: As to the hood liner and pressure washer - I have never tested this, so I would be careful not to put the direct pressure on the liner.

Try running w/o the Resistor first, the LED should flash at the correct frequency.
The Lamp control will most likely not like the LED's and give the bulb warning, this can be easily jumper-ed out at the Lamp control "Female" plug, that's what I did and most others from what I have read.

If you chose to install the "load" resistors, the the Lamp control should not notice the change, but the resistors get hot so be careful where you install them.

Hope this helps,

Dave

Thanks for the input, Dave!

The rear marker lights don't flash; the front turn signals flash properly with the flasher relay included in the turn signal LED kit. No resistors required for front turn signal LEDs.

Only if you use LEDs in both the front AND the rear turn signals, you will have to add resistors somewhere, as even the LED flasher relay doesn't like LEDs on all ends.

In most cases, only the front turn signal bulbs are replaced with LEDs, and then it works perfectly.

Tell us more - is there another thread about this that I missed?

Yes, we do not recommend to install those on painted body panels or plastic parts.

Some of my customers run the rear side marker LEDs without resistors and don't get a bulb warning; I have not figured out a pattern based on model year or other factors, though. It's definitely worth a try before installing the resistors.

This is correct, I thought he was also doing Tail too, however the tail and the side markers are tied together(powered) from the Lamp controller.

Only if you use LEDs in both the front AND the rear turn signals, you will have to add resistors somewhere, as even the LED flasher relay doesn't like LEDs on all ends.

I'm running LED's for both Front and Tail Turn and they flashed the same with and w/o the LED Flasher(depends on which type of flasher was installed stock) and load resistor (I'm not using a load resistor, but did need to jump out the Lamp Controller).

In most cases, only the front turn signal bulbs are replaced with LEDs, and then it works perfectly.

Yes, because the Front lights and not powered through the Lamp controller, the Stop, Tail and Rear side markers are (not license plate) on 86.5 and older until it became an option on the early models.

Tell us more - is there another thread about this that I missed?

Yes on the newer (not sure when) the LED's on the Stop will have an effect on the cruse control, and the Load resistor will be required to fool the Lamp controller that the correct wattage lamp is installed.

Yes, we do not recommend to install those on painted body panels or plastic parts.

Yes and the metal will provide a "heat sync"

As this is all custom stuff your right Nichole, try doing the minimum first and some have pointed out it may not pass Inspection, However there are now LED's that are almost 30 watt that can be used for Stop, replacing the standard 21 watt

Please do a search on the LED threads, some are long but contain a log of great info.
