Agreed.

But for some odd reason I love them on 928's. They look silly on 911's.

I would not put 19 inch wheels on a 928 unless you lived in an area of perfectly smooth roads.

Is there that much difference in ride quality from using 30 profile on 19"'s or 35 profile on 18"'s?

How about the offset question. Any input?

Thanks

Rim diameter isn't important, width is.

The width on both is 11.61in. The sidewall is 4.06 in for the 295/35/18. 3.48 in for the 295/30/19.

I had matte black 5-spokes on mine. I thought they looked great.

If this setups works, will the studs stick out too much. Thanks for your help and if I'm totally off base please correct me.
et 51 is the same as et68 with a 17mm spacer.

Jon, thanks for the info. Do you know if I will need open lug nuts?

From your avatar pic it seems you have an S4 or GT ?

If so no you won't need open lug nuts, but if you use spacers you will need bolt on spacers that incorporate there own studs to bolt the wheel on.

Decided to take the advice of board members and purchase 18" wheels. I bought 18" 911-997 Carrera III wheels with an 18x8 Et 57 fronts, 18x10 Et 58 rears - tire sizes 235/40 Front & 265/40 Rear. I plan to swap the rear tires for 295/35. The wheels should get here next week.

With the new rear wheels, do I need to purchase spacers to make them fit right? Is there anything else that I should know? Thanks in advance.
