Default New Wheels & Tires For My 86 928S

Here's a pic of my car with new wheels and tires that were just installed.

Also a pic with the old school wheels.

Thank You Brian Phillips for selling me the Twists to update my cars look!

Jim,
7" x 17" ET 55 (996.362.124.00) w/225/45 ZR17 Michelin Pilot Sports AS

9" x 17" ET 55 (996.362.128.00) w/255/40 ZR17 Michelin Pilot Sports AS

Could have gone larger on the tires but these fit the wheels perfect.

Just replaced them with the Twists i got from Brian.

Let me know if anyone wants them, decent condition.

The fronts are 8.5 X16 with a +52mm offset or a 6.8 in back spacing.
The rears are 9.5 X 16 with a offset of +44mm or a 6.98 inch back spacing.

I had these on my car no spacers plenty of clearance.

I have a pair of those OE Porsche rear twists for sale - 9X17 et 55. I had them as a spare set of wheels for track driving, never installed them on the car. They have Michelin PS2 tires on them. Pictures and details available if interested, please e-mail me directly: kittyandgary"at"verizon.net where "at" is @

Front ones can be picked up fairly inexpensively on eBay.

The TTwists look fine! I haven't seen a wheel I like better. I AM biased but still....they look very sporty and the twist suggests speed.

Looks great. Wish I had saved my twists just to change it up off and on.

Those are Boxter wheels in the OP
I like the TT wheels in the #12 post avatar better than the Boxter wheels.

See this link and post #2 for better Turbo Twist pictures,,, YMMV
