Cheap 1987 FS in Denver CO $3988

I don'nt think it should hurt it at all on a car this old. Espcially if its for your own enjoyement. I did talk to the guy and he has done nothing to the car mechanically but he did put a new single stage paint job on it. I guess his friend has a body shop. Anytime something has been repainted I would need to see it in person or have someone I really trust look at it before purchase. The pics look nice, if the paint checks out well and you can turn a wrench this could be a cheap way to get into a 32V car.

Found pics of the San Diego car. How bad would the salvage title hurt the value?

Why its a salvage car is a bigger issue. How easy is it to steal a 928, close to impossible without a key, yet most of the Salvage title cars claim theft.
Any money you put into a salvage car is down the drain.
OTOH it won't be easy for to sell, so cash might buy it cheap, unless its a flip and seller bought it at what he thought was cheap and "can't" go lower.
Smog history seems to show it was sold twice this year and couple good sized gaps in the driving history.

I take it back. That is a typical or sub typical $4K s4. The clean engine does not make sense relative to the rest of the car. I think there has been quite a bit of pressure washing done there recently. The knocking noise might or might not be a side effect of some problem caused by careless pressure washing. Plug wire?
