Headliner straightening

Headliner straightening
My headliner curls away from the roof where it meets the windshield. Is there anyway to straighten this?
Also, I tried to remove the headliner by pulling it down, but I only succeeded to pull the plug out of the liner. Any tips/tools?

I am having similar problems with inside trim and liner warping. I added 2 trim screws to secure the side windshield posts and that worked great and does't look too rigged.
The headliner roof on top of the doors is no longer snug and the weather seals keeps working itself out so I'm thinking about lightly spraying the compressed cardboard to make it more pliable and securing it with a couple of screws on each side.
Is the light spray a bad idea?

On one of the '86.5 I have the rear hatch liner with the light was severly warped. What I tried before buying used one was remove the piece, wet the fiberboard with water and laid a 2x4 with a spare rim (I find flat dish is best, wanting to use only oem parts) Every so often I re sprayed the board until it became flexible. When flexible I readjusted wieght and let board dry. This process moved the corners up about 1 1/4" and they are flush again allowing the tabs to be used. I need to re do the center section as it raised only about 1/2" and needs to come up about another 1/2". This was done in mid August so drying time was not terribly long as it was very warm here.
