Default Cincinnati 928ers?

I am about to up and move from sunny Texas to cold Cincinnati, lol.
I'm wanting to know who my people are up in Cincy. And groups? Regular get-togethers there?
Also, anyone know who is a good mechanic in Cincy?

Thanks for any info, see you guys in a few weeks!!

John Kuhn is very close to Cincinatti and so is Ducman. Contact Ducman and he can probably give you a better idea of who is there.

928buckeyelandsharks.com or org... I forget. Nice group up here. They like to stick around Columbus , but I'm up here on the south end of Dayton, so not far from cinci. Few members down there as well

928Buckeyelandsharks.com Contact (email) info is on the website. We have at least 3 members in the Cincy area with 3 more near Dayton and 2 in Springfield. The majority of us live in the Columbus area, but that doesnt stop us from getting together with the rest of the group for tech sessions, engine pulls,TB/WP installs, lots of fun runs, etc. We have a monthly meeting in or around Columbus and even an annual Christmas Party Come on up and join the club!

BTW, we dont use or pay Porsche Dealer mechanics... If we cant do it ourselves - it cant be done. We have some very talented Porsche folks who are always willing to help out... I am one of them, but lacking in the talent department...

That sounds excellent.
When I arrive & unpack the computer, I'll get on the website & hook up with the group.
I will need one of those WP & TB parties as my WP is shot right now! I'll have to arrange a space for me to work on her first though.
I'll be in the Mount Washington side of Cincy.

I thought I had replied to this yesterday but apparently not.

I am in NKY just across from Cincinnati. depending on timing, I may have a space at my shop for a TB / WP party.

I currently have one bay open but in the process of considering getting two 914s, but not yet.

and I have access to another bay for short term use.

looking forward to more sharks in the Cinci/NKY area. Columbus is just too far, 100 mi, to get to the weekly evening gatherings.

been causally looking for a project car. I just cant stand the idea of having an empty bay all winter.

of course if I do I'll be sleeping at the shop all winter too.

only plans for the shark so far is some deferred cosmetic work I can do at my home garage. so will have the 911 at the shop to pull LSD and rebuild as well as get a Getty 3.8 tail and fabricate a 3" front splitter for the valance.

encountered a guy who bought two 914s, long story. both need work. he wants one for himself that is a good driver. wants to sell the other.

I have suggested he bring both to my shop. we'll get his running and apply any work I do toward me buying the other.

looking at a few other options for project cars, incl 944 turbo, but not all Porsches.

my addiction is progressing .... somebody help/save me from my self.

Oh, that is my wife's job.

Hi Bob,

That sounds awesome if you still have a space when I get settled in there.
We are moving up on 19th Nov, but may take a few weeks at least to get sorted out, then get the parts ordered to do the job.
Either way, I look forward to meeting you soon.
