Default 86.5 FPR advice

It was suggested to me that I should get an S4 Fuel Pressure Regulator for my 86.5 twin screw Pizza mobile. Looks like there are a couple of different options:

part # 928 110 198 02 FPR for 1987
part # 928 110 198 03, FPR for 88-93
part # 928 110 198 ADJ, adjustable FPR for 88-93
part # 928 110 198 01ADJ, adjustable FPR for 80-87

Any idea which one I should get?

Only the '87 fits stock. '88 and up have a different nipple setup.

Thanks, Drew. So, would I get the adjustable one or not?

I try to get everyone, if they can, to convert to the '88-93 version, so that they can get rid of that really silly clamp on rubber hose that runs from the regulator to that "bolted on adaptor" that has a clamp on hose on one end and then a screw on hose on the other end. Not really sure what they were trying to do, ritght there. Way too many fittings and opprotunities for leaks, to suit me.

I make a one piece hose that goes from the 16mm threaded regulator to the fuel cooler...for both early and late fuel coolers (female and then male threads on the fuel coolers), which eliminates the two hose and that "adaptor" piece.

If you do that, you can run either the stock FPR or an adjustable one. If you ever anticipate needing to raise or lower the fuel pressure, the adjustable one is probably what you want. If you are tuning with a Sharktuner and injector size changes, the stock one will work fine.
